- Answer You can use your existing turntable and a laptop. All you need is a device called Roxio Easy Vhs to DVD 3 Plus and a laptop or PC with a CD burner. You can use this device to transfer VHS to DVD, and also to transfer vinyl, cassettes or anything else from your stereo to CD. Plugs into audio out jacks on your stereo and USB on the computer. Roxio comes with the device and software to do your conversions and sells for under $50.00 at Best Buy.
