If you're using a USB-A adapter, the speed will be limited to the maximum capability of the adapter and the port you're connecting it to. For instance, if the adapter or port supports only USB 3.1 or 3.0, the transfer speed will align with those standards rather than the full potential of USB 3.2 Gen2x2.
