• It is compatible with Mac but not via Firewire. It comes with a short USB C cable. You can connect it to a regular USB port via an adapter but data transfer will not be as fast.

• It comes with usb-c to usb a cable very sort I think might be 3 inch. You can use usb-c to usb-c cable it worked fine and 3rd party cables do work as well.

• It's fastest on a true USB-C connection which if you have that I'd recommend an even faster drive, if you're like most people and only have USB 3.0 then I HIGHLY recommend this just format it before you use it.

• Yes It can be connected to Mac firewire however you need an adapter that needs to be bought separately . SSD comes with USB -C cable.
