how do you stop the clean button from blinking null

You have to run it through the clean cycle. I don't always clean it with vinegar . I will just use water, because the coffee maker goes by how many pots of coffee made. So if you turn your maker on(after it beeps off), to keep your coffee hot it counts it as a pot made. Sometimes I have my coffee pot on all day. (will make 2 pots) So I will clean my pot once a month with vinegar.

I think you need to change the charcoal filters which are hard to find.
