Pressure cookers cook rice beautifully. I have never tried cooking rice with a preset button, I just pick a time, because not all rices cook the same, or are prepared the same. Some take 4 minutes, some take 20. But yes, you can get rid of your rice cooker. I even make fried rice in mine.
