• Yes, you can. We do it for most items that may "drip" a bit. It does take a little longer to air fry this way but only an extra minute or two.

• You have to use the tray under the basket. The basket cannot set in the oven by itself. I've done full basket of wings I just turn them over at the end of the 20 min suggested cooking time and give them 5 additional minutes. They come out great.
