Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't had any problems and have had my unit a month or so. Are you putting several cups of water into the reservoir....pouring from the top of the coffeemaker? Then I put a paper filter in the basket and turn the grinder off if you are not grinding coffee...and turn it on and the water should run through to the pot....if not, I'd return it as maybe there's something wrong with it. The empty signal should only beep if you turn the unit on to brew without any water in the reservoir. The water goes on the right side at the top....the filter is on the left side...so just make sure you pour water into the reservoir itself.....I'm betting you are doing all this but the unit could be faulty?

Put your Ground Coffee in the basket (unless you are using Beans). Fill Water to the number of cups you want. Press Start. Press GRIND OFF. Press little round BREW button.
