A:AnswerI’m having the same problem. Cuisinart recommended clearing the hopper of beans and grinding white rice to unclog the grinder of any oils or residue. While this did remove some build up for me it didn’t fix it and they are now replacing it. Btw the replacement is on a 4 week back order.

A:AnswerThere's a version of the coffee maker that brews into a thermal carafe but it is more expensive. I don't think you could use that carafe on this unit due to the heating element.
A:AnswerIf you are using Ground Coffee,...I put in enough for 3 cups. Maybe you could do 1 or 2, but I know it will do 3. If you are using beans, 4 is the minimum.
