• Yes they are. I keep mine attached to a magnetic holder on the wall.

• They are not ceramic coated, although Cuisinart does make a similar ceramic coated set. My stainless steel knives are all magnetic, but if you want to be sure about this set, take a magnet to the store to check them out.
