“Just unpacked new cuisinart food processor. All parts there and no issues , but, how do I lock the cover on?? It won’t go and I fear that if I force it (turning clockwise, I know, I read the instructions), it will break the little latching piece.”

• It doesn’t break but it does need an extra push to firmly close it.

• The processor has to be locked into the base before You can lock the cover on.
