This is a very simple question to answer: It's because they sell loads of other Cuisinart small (and medium) appliances and this was just something that Cuisinart wanted to offer BestBuy to sell as well. Granted, it doesn't look like it's particularly performing well (my first set was on clearance and my now second set is still on clearance), but I can attest, these and their knives are actually quite good for the price you pay for them!
