• I use one of these to back up my basement sump pump. It works great. May need to use a larger battery later on.

• Hello Tony, Our UPS is meant to protect and gracefully shut down computer equipment during a power event. Unfortunately, this unit was not intended to be used as a backup power source for a garage door, we suggest researching products specifically designed for this application.
