The CPS175PSU does not have a battery to charge. It is powered by the 12 volt cigar lighter port. Although it is not shown in the product photos, it does come with an attachment for the cigar outlet. Thank you for submitting your question!

It plugs into your cars 12v cigarette lighter/accessory port and then gives you a regular outlet plug and USB port to run/charge other electrical devices in your car. ie. We used it to charge and run a laptop in our car
