• Load the software, plug the unit into the computer (usb). Go to setup, then to notifications. Choices are right there.

• You cannot - unless you are hand with electronics and detach the 'speaker'

• Honestly why would you want to. That's one of the reasons why you would have it to let you know there's a problem with the electricity.
