“I just got a new unit and it says to charge 8 hours before first use. Should I power the unit on to charge initially or leave the power off for the initial charge. Instructions aren't clear.”

It is best practice to let the unit charge the initial 8 hours before powering on as there may be false errors if powered on with a weak battery. Thank you for submitting your question!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Leave the power button untouched (off) until it is fully charged. Then, charge it for the 8 hours. At the end of the 8 hours you can push the power button down, it will beep and then you can start plugging in items into it to use it.
