Make sure you connected whatever display type cord to your GPU, not the motherboard. If it still doesn't work try other types (hdmi, display port, DVI), if that still doesn't work (or it displays an error message and has weird lines all over the screen) its probably a faulty unit. Had the same thing happen to me, went and got it checked and found out it was a defective GPU. Went to best buy and asked for an exchange, new unit works fine now.
