“How good is the front airflow on this. It looks to be fully sealed except for a small portion on the top. Is this accurate? Also, any extra fan placement and orientation (push/pull) recommendations that would increase the quality of airflow.”

The front airflow is fine in my opinion, although im not an expert. The fans do get loud though, might be able to turn them down a bit im bios though if thats what youre worried about.
