If the lights aren't working from the button that means they weren't plugged in from the factory. Remove the back panel and you'll see a small circuit board with 3 sets of male pins. Find the matching female plugs, being careful not to bend the pins and plug them together. If it worked you should see lights immediately. Once working secure with a small piece of electrical tape as it can be rather loose.
