I bought the PC, everything seems great but CPU Temps are messed up. IDLE The PC is 73C and while gaming it is getting over 100C. Liquid cooler seems to be in working condition. null

Having similar issues although not at idle. 

The CPU cooling isn't adequate and anything that puts a lot of stress on the CPU is resulting in blue screen crashes and CPU overtemperature errors. 

I have a 240hz monitor but I need to lower the refresh rate to 144hz to put less stress on the CPU.

The initial temps weren’t that bad, I was in the low 40s idle and mid to high 80s under load when I noticed all fans were set to exhaust. I switched the two on the radiator to intake and now idle in the high 20s and highest core under load I’ve seen is 72

Mine came without any intake fans. They were all exhaust. Flipping the two on the side to intake helped a bunch.

Thanks Erik. I turned off MCE multi core enhancement in the bios and my cpu Temps went from around 95 to around 75 when playing gears 5. Thanks. Asus motherboard bios had it to auto by default.

My computer I bought idles at 70 and 100 when gaming too. It’s gotten to the point where I’m playing dark souls 3 on medium settings averaging 30 frames. I have a 2080 32gb of ram and an i7-8700k

Wow. I was frustrated that mine is idling around 49-51. Sounds like i was lucky. I was debating re-pasting the CPU, as given how haphazardly these things are assembled, I was thinking there might not be good contact there. I'll try the fan re-route and BIOS check and see if that helps.

Try turning off MCE (multi-core enhancement) in bios. Apparently, ASUS boards comes with it automatically enabled. When enabled, it overclocks all cores producing excessive heat. Worth a try.

I had to switch the side panel fans to intake and change the AIO to a 360R. Also turned off MCE in the bios. That helped bring the heat down significantly.
