“We just received this today and my son is downloading games from Steam and he's run out of SSD drive. Do we need an external SSD to accommodate?”

Thanks for reaching out LakeSuperior. You system should of came with a SSD and HDD. The SSD usually holds the operating system so the HDD's primary use is for storage, whether it'd be games, software, programs or files. Please make sure to check your drives and your connections to make sure the HDD is being read. If it is, you would need to change the directory from your SSD to your HDD, whichever letter each one is on. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No you shouldn't, go to steam settings and change the drive for the games. On the top left side of the Steam window click the Steam>Settings>Downloads>Steam Download Folders>Add D:/ and make a folder.
