Q: What motherboard does this build use? Is it compatible with both intel and amd?
A: This desktop comes with a Intel Z370 Chipset motherboard and only supports Intel 1151 chips.

The SSD usually holds the operating system so the HDD's primary use is for storage, whether it'd be games, software, programs or files. Please make sure to check your drives and your connections to make sure the HDD is being read.
