• No you do not need to run the MSI disk, but you will have to enter a code which is located on the top left of your computer, but other than that, it is plug and play!

• I didn't. Disk was included but the computer was completely ready to go out of the box. Note however that there is no internal wireless card, so you will need either a hard line or a USB wireless card to access the internet
