I can't say it would be the best series to use if want something that can also be upgraded over the next ten years because AMD will soon be discontinuing the current AMD FX line to introducing a new series of processors to replace the current AMD FX series processors. In comparison, AMD has been falling quite behind when compared to Intel's current consumer desktop processors. If your preference is towards AMD, then you may want to wait for their new series to be released which is currently scheduled for February/March 2017 otherwise the current line of Intel i5's & i7's will most likely run very well for the next ten years if you need to to purchase a PC now.
