If choosing to install a GTX 1070 graphics card it is not suggested to use a cheap 500 watt power supply that still requires you to use an adapter to connect the required PCI-e power to the graphics card. It is recommended to use at least a 700 watt 80 plus certified power supply that provides at least 30 amps to the 12v rail and has all the required PCI-e power connections without needing to use any additional adapters otherwise a low cost 500 watt power supply will not last very long with a GTX 1070.
