the computer has an on board gpu (vga) and a discrete graphix card (hdmi and 2 others). most computers, when installing a graphix card will have their onboard gpu disabled. if youre using vga for video, this maybe be problem. it can easily be enabled again in device manager. as for your monitor, try pressing or momentarily holding power button on it. some companies get super weird on how those things work. hope i helped.
