600 watt is actually a plus, and gives you some room to grow without having to change it. most prebuilts would give you some generic PSU that was the exact amount that the unit needed to run. Examples include my $1500 AlienWare Aurora R7 wich has the same parts but only a 450 watt PSU. Then the Dell Inspiron Gaming Desktop that i got a couple weeks ago which also has the same level of components.... It also had only a 450 watt PSU. Curious where you would've read that it would put stress on the system. There would be NO reason to go bigger than 600 watt unless you changed motherboard and add a second GPU
