Its probably thermal throttling. Switch the two side fans to intake (there is a review that explains how to do this) and replace the cpu cooler if the temps stay bad.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The game that we run on ours is Cities: Skyline which is resource heavy. What we’ve had to do was install more memory as the 16 gb (2*8) is insufficient. Motherboard spec state max memory is at 128 (16*4) but I’ve also seen 64 (8*4) which is what I switched to. We also added a fan because the GPU get extremely hot and tends to heat up the case. Due to this we also replaced the side case facing CPU fan with a bigger heat sink and forward facing fan. We can’t do much about the GPU so making sure that the CPU chip and board stays cool was the only option. Also added 1 tb SSD SATA III for the gaming drive and changed windows pagefile size to 100 gb for the main drive. The game (with mods) runs with a minimum of 32gb when loaded and it’s running without a hiccup.

Also while he's playing have him open task manager so that he can see if his CPU and GPU are hitting 100% usage. Tell him to remember that not to max out any settings and to turn things down a bit because it's not a very high-level PC and it will experience issues if your settings to high. Also one last thing, R6 Siege has an issue where Xbox players can lag other players out using a website. I'm not sure if that's what's happening but it's a known issue. (PS. I would recommend valorant as another option if you cant get R6 Siege to work)
