not sure what cooling cpu it has, but its a pretty large fan on the cpu ive had no troubles with it over heating and its been running 8+ hours straight in 90+ degree temperatures, and the ram is highly upgradable with 4 slots for ram sticks, so you could go up to 32 gb if you want, this pc is a great starter pc and a great pc to continue to add upgrades to
