It's not really recommended to install programs to the secondary drive, but during installation if it asks you for an install location, you can tell it to install there. Of course, you will loose the benefits of the speed of the SSD by doing this. You can also redirect your user libraries (documents, pictures, etc) there in the properties in the location tab (this is what I do).
