Did you make sure that the input setting on your monitor matched the output on your PC? Are you going to a display port or HDMI? The first machine I got actually had a faulty video card so nothing worked so you if your input on your monitor matches the output from your PC I'd take it back to Best Buy and ask them to test it on their end; that's how I found out I had a lemon.
