Thanks for reaching out Carter. The motherboard has 4 RAM slots that can hold up to 64 GB of RAM altogether. The 16 GB that comes with the computer is 2 8 GB sticks of RAM that takes up 2 slots. RAM sticks usually comes in 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB of RAM.
