It will work and will have an update which will enhance some things within the game. For example load times will be faster. Note that this is NOT the same as the full PS5 version which is coming in 2021 0r 2022.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.From what I understand you will have a free upgrade from PS4 Disc version to PS5 Digital version. Being that they probably wont send you a new disc of the PS5 version due to cost. Instead make you just have the full PS5 version digitally when it comes out. From Launch it is said there is a day 1 patch that increases load times and some other features the PS5 can handle.

There will be an upgrade from PS4 version to PS5 version of this game free of charge next year. It will includes visual upgrade and more optimizations for your PS5.
