My assumption is that you had multiple add ons to the viper system you have installed?

Please try again later.I don't know about your Mini van but my truck needed a relay, and a hood switch for the security side of the remote start. both were around $40.00 If someone opens the hood it turns the car off so they can't steal it . The relay works with doors and hood to do the same.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Bestbuy doesn't clearly specify precisely on the receipt what this is for. I had this on my receipt twice also. However when I inquired about it the auto bay tech explained one fee is to install a bypass module for keyless entry/ignition and the other charge was to wire up factory alarm to remote start module and bypass. These two things have the same description on reciept and can raise questions obviously. I have done one remote start install once and will never do it ever again even though it was successful. It is a lot of work to do it right and the price I paid at Bestbuy was hands down the best price. Every other place has these undeclared add-ons also. However Bestbuy auto tech was very clear with me before I purchased the deal online that at time of install there would be this extra $40 fee and that was it.

Please try again later.The viper auto-start itself will work any car, but to allow for each vehicles unique start and security system, an add-on must be purchased to match your vehicle in order for it to work properly. If you were to go to the Viper website to purchase the auto-start, they would include those add-ons based on your vehicle and the final price would reflect those add-ons as well, but the final cost would most likely be more than what you would have paid for at Best Buy and you would still have to pay for the installation. I know that my final price WITH installation was less than what I would have paid going to the Viper site.
