Does this unit have a true simmer burner? null

The burners have 2 sets of holes - the top holes are your typical flames that adjust from low to high. When you turn them down below medium, those flames go off and there are little flames that come different little holes - which would en the simmer function.

Yes but like any appliance you must not leave unattended

The inner burner on the center stack works. Back right is the next best option but not a true simmer depending on pot/pan size
