“For this price I'd expect an interior surface that won't easily damage or peel like paint. Would hope for stainless steel. Can anyone answer or provide a picture with the door open? Thanks.”

it is a white interior, not stainless. And there are other brands with stainless, so you can get microwaves with a stainless interior.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you had stainless steel on the inside of a microwave, it would basically burn itself out with all the sparking. Put tin foil or a steel screw in your microwave and see how well it turns out.
