• it is a white interior, not stainless. And there are other brands with stainless, so you can get microwaves with a stainless interior.

• If you had stainless steel on the inside of a microwave, it would basically burn itself out with all the sparking. Put tin foil or a steel screw in your microwave and see how well it turns out.
