Hello, Thank you for your question. There is a faucet adaptor that you would have to attach and then the Quick Connect would snap onto it when you want to use the dishwasher and remove it when you were done. The Quick Connect has a section that you would pull down to attach it to the faucet adaptor and then you would have to pull it down to disconnect when you are done using the dishwasher. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sometimes putting it on the ring sticks putting it on, you have to hold the ring down and push the hose on. Taking it off, you have to drain the fitting and push the ring down
