Hello Marg, Thank you for your question. The dishwasher is not designed to be below the sink for draining. Placing the dishwasher below the sink may affect its ability to drain and invalidate the warranty. Regards Ann

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This dishwasher has 2 motors. One is for washing other is for draining. The dishwasher is made to drain water when it sits level with the sink. However, it will drain water when there is a incline from the hose. This will make the pump work harder. Since the unit wasn’t designed for that, no one knows how long it would last.
