• Hello FayEtte, Thank you for your question. The water inlet and drain hose both attach to a quick connect (white plastic piece). The quick connect attaches to the faucet using a tap adapter which will allow the dishwasher to drain directly into the sink. Please note that the hoses, quick connect and tap adapter are all included with the dishwasher. Regards Ann

• The water drains by use of a separate motor. When it’s time to drain, this motor will turn on and discharge the water out the hose and into your kitchen sink. This dishwasher has 2 motors. One for washing and one for draining.
