• Hello Pyrory, Yes, Liquid Dishwasher detergent is acceptable to use with this product. We do not recommend using pods however, since they are normally used for larger units. Regards, Sasha

• Powder is not good for the unit Liquid is best for this unit and the manual tells you more information
