All Danby portable air conditioners require external exhaust to function properly. Our units are able to vent through windows (casement style not supported) and sliding patio doors.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As a mechanical engineer, I can tell you that all ac need a way to dump heat out of the room. Otherwise your room only gets hotter and hotter due to the electrical energy that you bring in. There is one exception, that if your ac system runs by dumping heat to like a bucket of melting ice; then you don't need an exhaust.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe most have a one or two hose exhaust requirement. It is possible to have proffesionally vented through dropped cieling or outside through a "doggy-door" hole if you don't want to use window. Many a/c services and to my surprise dog door companies provide this type of installation amd it looks very "built-in".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.well without exhaust, it would vent heat into the room, you could try an eval cooler instead
