  • QuestionWhat is the country of origin?

    Asked by Beth.

    • Answer Hi Beth, Danby's products including our upright freezers (DUFM032A3WDB-3) are made with at least 25% North American content. We do source some materials from China and other countries to stay competitive with our prices. This is an industry-wide standard. Although many components come from China, we do have factories in North America that assemble some of Danby's products. Because of the nature of the industry, not all our products are wholly manufactured in North America, and not all our products are manufactured abroad. It is difficult to say if something is manufactured wholly in a particular country, as we do have multiple models and each model has their own intricacies in its development and the parts needed to manufacture the product. Also based on tariffs imposed on certain goods by various countries, Danby must comply with all rules and stay competitive. In short, we can say that our products are made with at least 25% North American content, however, we do have relationships with manufacturers in China, Canada, the US, Mexico, and other countries that may manufacture the components we need that meets our quality specifications. Due to Covid, Danby has ramped up more production in North America to meet demand for popular products, however, we do have products that are manufactured in other countries. I hope this information is helpful. Thank you. Regards, Jerlyn
