Hi, We apologize for the confusion. The unit was upgraded and is now garage ready, however the manual has not been updated. This was an oversight and we are working on resolving this issue. Your unit is ready and capable to be used in the garage.

Hello DrPsyduck, Your Chest Freezer is, in fact, Garage Ready and can perform in temperatures from 0F to 110F (-17C to 43C). It appears you may have received an old manual and I am sorry for the confusion. Kind regards, Blaire

Yes, I noticed that after I purchased it, fortunately I intended to use it indoors. Best Buy needs to fix their description.
