Since I just had a laptop die that I had “backed up” to an SSD and purchased new Dell. Geek set it up for me. They do not like to clone the HD. Something about if there are any bad things on old drive it will get transferred to new drive. They will put the backup from the SSD onto new drive. Problem with that is that a backup from a Windows machine does not backup or copy all registries from your software apps. Very irritating. Happened to me for Quicken program.
