QuestionHi, I have an external hard drive that has been damaged because it was unplugged without being ejected safely too many times. Do you guys fix it at best buy? If so what would be an estimated cost of the fix and an estimate of how long it will take.

- Answer I just went through this last month. Data recovery took about a month, but mine was do-able. They copied everything over to a new hard drive and sent me the original one back. The recovery process involved having the hard drive sent to a Geek Squad center in Kentucky, I think. The Total Tech for 1 year was about $200, but I saved exactly with the data recovery. Now, I just get the perks of Total Tech until my subscription runs out.

QuestionIt is not a question more of a complaint. I am very mad and upset that when I received my pc today from Geek Squad ALL!! of my pictures and videos were erased, when I SPECIFICALLY asked if they were going to get erased and they told me no.

- Answer Apple records everything on your iphone. Need to go Apple and find your Apple backup account is and recover from there.

Questionhow much do you think they would charge for a data recovery attempt of a little over 5,000 pictures and videos (they were mainly pictures, less than 10 videos i'm sure)? I only have about $200 and really want my data back.

- Answer I paid over $800 and bought a new large capacity new 8TB HD replaced the old 4TB, I dropped on 6 Sep.21 so far I still waiting for, tracking is not detail like eBay or Amazon, but it’s ok, because I don’t have chose, I hope they did a good job thanks

QuestionI tried to transfer my photos from sd card to my tablet and it said failed, theres a file that says its zipped but when extracted it says 0 files. And now when I insert the sd it says error or corrupted. my sd card says no image. Can I get them back?

- Answer Everything can recover, because they store in another room, concerns is like water, if they don’t leak ,it keeps, hard drive and pc same like this,don’t worry,$ can solve is not a problems,good luck.
