Yes it will granted you have uninterrupted internet so make sure its connected to the router's Ethernet plug. 1.2G download is fine however the unit will need the upload bandwidth rather download. Either case its better than nothing, my guess you'll appreciate it. Good luck

Whether you can view the system externally will depend on the upload speed of the DVR's internet connection and the download speed of the internet where you're watching the feed. We recommend at absolute minimum 1mbps upload.

Please try again later.I have this system and so far its been great.(defender hd 1080p 2 cams) It has recorded a month so far and plays back great. great picture, recordings clear, works on my iPhone even without wifi.has a large hard drive and when its full it starts recording over the oldest recording.
