“I’m new to all this in home security I’m curious how the recording storage works. Can you have an ongoing recording and then re record over what’s already been recorded if the footage isn’t need?”

Thank you for your interest in Defender Daryl! The Defender HD system uses an automatic overwrite feature. What this means, is your DVR will always be recording so you don't miss a second. It will record over the oldest footage once the hard drive becomes full giving you the peace of mind that your cameras will always be watching and recording!
