• I have mine 10 inches away but through research you can get away with 6 inches away from the wall.

• The base of the speaker sticks out farther than the actual speaker does on the sides. 6" is going to be pretty close. If the base of the speaker fits, the sound should be OK.

• there is not much could be done if you have 6 inches to work with, ideally should by 1/ 5 of room width to avoid standing sound waves
