The BP 9040 can be used as a center speaker. Floor-standing speakers make great center channel speakers, but some may not prefer the cosmetics of a floor-standing speaker as a center speaker. If you like the cosmetics of a traditional center channel speaker, any one of the CS9000 center speakers will pair with the BP9040. Consider room size when deciding.
