It will work, but how fast depends on a number of factors, including your particular purpose and how many and what type of other programs you run at the same time. Running alone, you should be fine. Google Drive is a cloud-based storage and synchronization service, and is meant to interface with any operating system: MS, Apple, Android, Chrome, and any of the Linux flavors. Again, depending on other circumstances (such as connectivity, and knowledge of its operational parameters), you should have no problem using it.
