Hello, Thank you for your interest in the Inspiron 15 (Series 7000) laptop! As it turns out, this system is not offered with hybrid hard drives from Dell. Also, systems sold here are already pre-configured and built and cannot be modified before shipment. If you are looking for speed boosts, you can always install your own 2.5" SSD in the laptop, replacing the existing hard drive. There are Service Manuals available from Dell's Support website. STEPS: 1) Switch HDD 1a) find windows 8 ios from microsoft. 1b) install os to a flash drive or CD 2) go to BIOS and select flash drive or CD as 1st bootable drive 3) save and restart BIOS 4) format drive and install.
